His 2006 novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas sold 9 million copies worldwide and has been adapted for cinema, theatre, ballet and opera. John has won three Irish Book Awards and many other international literary awards and his novels are published in over 50 languages. He lives in Dublin.
Alice Pung is an award-winning author whose books include Unpolished Gem, Her Father's Daughter and Close to Home. She edited the anthologies Growing up Asian in Australia and My First Lesson, and is currently the writer in residence at Janet Clarke Hall at the University of Melbourne.
